A Thailand-based retail chain required eight focus groups across Bangkok, Khon Kaen, and Hat Yai to explore consumer attitudes toward a planned store redesign with a budget 40% below competing agency quotes.
We structured the entire project around our freelance moderator network deploying regionally based moderators in Khon Kaen and Hat Yai rather than flying Bangkok staff upcountry, eliminating airfares, accommodation, and daily allowances across four travel days. Venue costs were further reduced by using boutique meeting facilities and co-working spaces instead of hotel conference rooms saving an additional 30 to 40% on daily hire rates.
All eight focus groups were completed within the client's original budget, with final reports and verbatim transcripts delivered within seven working days of the last session.
